dc.description.abstractWomen are mentioned several times in the Bible, but before Jesus, their role was limited to taking care of the home and family, synonymous with procreation, restricting their access to religious life outside their home. The figure of Women in society during that time was undervalued, but their presence in Christianity, in the ministry of Jesus and in the beginning of the Church is of great relevance to history. Thus, this article is justified by the need to describe the important role played by New Testament women for early Christian history, showing the relevance of the awakening of Women in the midst of a society still under male domination, but aware of their role, were touched by the words of life of Master Jesus and engaged in the evangelistic ministry.pt_BR

dc.description.resumoAs Mulheres são por diversas vezes citadas na Bíblia, mas, antes de Jesus, o seu papel se resumia em cuidar da casa e da família, sinônimo de procriação, tornando restrito o seu acesso a vida religiosa fora de seu lar. A figura da Mulher na sociedade durante esse tempo era pouco valorizada, mas a presença delas no Cristianismo, no ministério de Jesus e no início da Igreja é de grande relevância para a história. Dessa forma, esse artigo justifica-se na necessidade de descrever o importante papel desempenhado pelas Mulheres do Novo Testamento para a história cristã primitiva, mostrando a relevância do despertar das Mulheres em meio a uma sociedade ainda com dominação masculina, mas que conscientes de seu papel, se sensibilizaram com as palavras de vida do Mestre Jesus e se empenharam no ministério evangelístico.pt_BR
